Meet Our Team

Julia Lis
Co-Founder and President
Julia’s interest in protecting wildlife began when she started volunteering at a local rehabilitation center in 2016. As her interest in wildlife grew, so did her interest in raising funds that would enable the center to continue and expand its mission. She held the position of Director of Fundraising (pro bono) from 2018 to 2023 and was responsible for all donor relations, fundraising initiatives and social media outreach.
As part of her continuing education, Julia completed the Penn State Extension’s Master Watershed Stewardship Program. Since becoming certified, she has worked on projects that have established riparian buffers along creeks where the banks were eroding and meadow restorations involving removing invasive plant species and replacing them with native pollinators.
Julia’s early career ranged from Commercial Banking to County Government to free-lance writing. In addition to several magazine articles, she has a self published book titled, “Organic Gardening, A Way of Life,” that she co-authored with her mother. She holds a BS in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University, a MBA from Lehigh University, and a Master’s degree in English and Publishing from Rosemont University.
